Unsecured VNC without Gnome

  • Remote System

    • On other systems look for x11vnc. Launch x11vnc -display :0 (assuming only one display).

    • x11vnc has a huge number of command-line options and has many features. Read the documents, including the man page

    • x11vnc supports cut and paste between vnc server (x11vnc) and client (e.g. vncviewer), if the the client also supports it.

  • Local System

    • As with GNOME, look for xvnc4viewer vncviewer, or vnc
